It’s here! It’s here! The month that sparked a full year now of creativity, poetry, and healing. I’ve been writing consistently now for a year and I’ve gotta say — Writing Haiku is soooo hard for me, still. Although I do enjoy the challenge. This site https://www.nahaiwrimo.com/national-haiku-writing-month has great info on how which I will study more but why is this so difficult for me? I think I need to think more like Spock when writing haiku – I bet he was really good at it. I won’t judge myself so harshly and I will give myself credit for just writing and sticking with it. Most of my haiku do not fit the traditional way which I will work towards but for now, I guess it’s kinda like micropoetry. I will strive! It really is a fun challenge to think differently when it comes to expressing myself with poetry – I love surrealism, metaphor, simile, I’m dreamy and romantic, I love to see where the imagination takes me. Maybe I’ll improve this month with writing haiku, maybe not, but it’s about the journey, right? Progress, not perfection. Good luck and good wishes to all the writers out there. Talk soon. xoxo

I think you’re doing great. I’ve seen the theme of pulling petals and asking, he loves me he loves me not. But that last line clairvoyant flower makes it stand out perfectly.
